The University of Basilicata signed several agreements with EU Universities including, among the other activities, the staff mobility for training.

The incoming staff member should contact, besides the International Mobility/Erasmus or similar office of the University of origin, the UNIBAS Internationalization Service (mobint@unibas.it) to explain the field of interest, define in brief the topics of activities and timing.

The mobility period must be between the 1st of June (20xx) and the 30th of September of the following year (20xx+1).
It can last from 2 consecutive days to 60 days, excluding travel days.
Before submitting the online application form, please prepare the following documents (they need to be uploaded in your online application):
1. Mobility agreement for training signed by the staff member and the sending institution (template provided by the home institution is accepted. A common template can be found in the "Documents" section). Note: Please, don't forget that the Mobility Agreement for training must be approved by the three parties involved, prior to the mobility period;
2. Copy of your Identity card or Passport (in case of non-EU citizens);
3. Copy of your CV to show your area of expertise.
Fill out and submit the Online application form
Incoming staff members are invited to fill out their Staff Mobility agreement and submit the application at least one month prior to the planned start of the mobility.
The Internationalization Service will forward provided documents to the right department, school, administrative division/office, centre and so on.

After checking the correctness and congruity of the documents received, your proposal will be considered and we send the approved documents with the invitation letter.
Once the staff mobility application has been approved, both sides could start preparing for the actual mobility.
With the support of the Regional Education Authority (Azienda Regionale per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario - A.R.D.S.U.) the University of Basilicata could offer incoming mobility the possibility to lodge in the University Halls of Residence for the duration of the stay, except for August, when the residence is closed.

Potenza
Campus universitario di Macchia Romana

The Macchia Romana campus hosts the Department of Agricultural, Forestry, Food, and Environmental Sciences (DAFE), the Department of Engineering (DiING), the Department of Basic and Applied Sciences (DiSBA), the Department of Health Sciences (DiSS), and the Department for Humanistic, Scientific, and Social Innovation (DiUSS), the POLiS center (Student Orientation), IT Services, the Central University Library, the Rectorate offices, the Internationalization Service and the Student Affairs office.

The Francioso campus hosts the Department for Humanistic, Scientific, and Social Innovation (DiUSS), the Central University Library, the University Language Center, the Disability Services, the Student Affairs office, and a computer lab for IT Services.
Matera

The University campus on Via Lanera hosts the Department for Humanistic, Scientific, and Social Innovation (DiUSS), the Student Affairs office, and offices related to internship management and the University Library.
Once in Potenza or Matera, the relevant Department Administrative contact for international mobility as well as the Coordinator for International Relations will welcome and assist you during your stay, providing you with essential facilities such as access to wi-fi, computers, libraries, and so on.

The start date of your exchange period corresponds to the first day of activity at Unibas, as agreed in the teaching mobility agreement signed prior to the staff mobility period.
You can connect to the university WiFi or through the EDUROAM network (to be connected you need only valid credentials issued by your Home university), or to the WiFi-Unibas asking the person in charge of the hosting Department temporary credentials.
The University of Basilicata provides exchange and degree-seeking students, as well as incoming professors and administrative staff with insurance against accidents that may occur on the campus premises of the university or in any other place where you carry out study or traineeship or research activities as far as they are authorized by the University, as well as for civil liability toward third parties during the performance of institutional activities.
Third-party insurance (Assicurazione di responsabilità civile)
Third-party liability insurance is offered by the University of Basilicata to cover third-party damages that students could cause in and out of the Institution. The policy is extended to students, grant holders, trainees, postgraduate students, visiting/exchange students and professors, etc. staying at the University for vocational and educational training, analogous and other activities.
Accident insurance (Assicurazione contro gli infortuni)
Students coming to the University are covered against all risks that occur during all the institutional activities (in and out of UNIBAS) provided for or allowed by the University.
Please bear in mind that the policy does not cover medical treatment expenses for which, according to your citizenship, individual health insurance is required.

The Emergency Medical Service guarantees Health Care Assistance for emergencies occurring during the night time, holidays or pre-holidays which are not covered by the family or local physician. In urgent situations, the physician can provide outpatient services, prescribe medicines, or illness certificates. This service is free for every citizen under the European Health Care System and foreigners with convection or in the possession of a valid document proving their right of Medical Health Care (European Health Card). For other cases, it is expected payment for the medical visit.
Upon arrival, the University of Basilicata provides incoming staff members with general (and not medical) insurance coverage only in the case of hospitalization due to accidents that occurred during academic activities. It also provides coverage for injuries suffered by the staff, for which the University is responsible. The insurance also covers damages that incoming staff members may cause to other people, things or animals at the University of Basilicata.

Depending on the host unit at UNIBAS and before leaving Potenza or Matera, incoming staff mobility member has to contact the Internationalization Service to close the mobility period and get the Confirmation of attendance, stating the duration of his/her training activity (start and end dates).
If you have specific forms from your home university, please bring them with you to get them filled in.
Important: the start and end date of the mobility period to be included in the confirmation of attendance/stay shall be considered as the first and last day of activities carried out by the participant during the exchange period.
