Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master's level degree)
It provides the student with advanced education and training for professions in specific fields that require a high level of qualification.
It lasts two years and provides for the achievement of 120 credits to award the Laurea Magistrale. It is conditional on the defence of a thesis.
To be admitted to a 2nd level degree course, you must have a 1st level degree - Laurea, three-years Diploma Universitario, Diploma accademico di primo livello or a comparable foreign degree.
The Laurea Magistrale grants access to competitions for the civil service, to regulated and non-regulated professions, research doctorate programmes and all the other degree programmes of the 3rd cycle.
