Recognition of prior formal learning
Students may ask to be transferred to another degree programme of the University submitting an application to the Rector within the deadline established by the Senate and reported in the "manifesto annuale degli studi" by November 2 . In the event of serious matters the Rector may accept applications presented after the deadline.
The Course of study Committee recognises the credits acquired in other degree programmes, assessing them in accordance with its own study regulations, whether they regard disciplines involved in the scientific-disciplinary sectors, relevant to basic, specific, similar or integrative learning areas, or whether they are to be related to the different learning activities provided for, on the basis of what is set forth by the specific regulation.

Students may ask to be transferred to another university submitting an application to the Rector or Student Services by the 31st of December of each year.
They have not to pay the first fee provided for the next year, on the contrary, they have to pay the transfer tax in the established amount in accordance with the rules that regulate the course on which they wish to enroll.
The application is considered valid upon its acceptance. From the date of the acceptance, the student cannot sit any exam or carry out any curricular career activity, unless he/she has withdrawn the application prior to forwarding the discharge papers.
If the transferred student returns to the University of Basilicata without having carried out any curricular career activity, he/she may be re-integrated into his/her previous career.

Transfers from another university: the discharge papers must be sent to the University of Basilicata within the deadline established by the Senate and reported in the "manifesto annuale degli studi". It may be authorised by November 2 of each year. The student must regularize the enrolment within 60 days otherwise the discharge papers will be returned to the other university.
On the basis of the discharge papers and, if any, the syllabus and acquainted credits, the study programme Committee recognises the credits acquired during the previous academic career, establishing the year of enrolment (admission) and the programme of study.
