Internships and placements

The internship is an important occasion to develop students' vocational training having the first approach with the labour market. The University of Basilicata, through specific memorandum of understanding, enables its students and graduates to spend a training period in enterprises, organisations, public entities, research centres, professional studies, etc. in Italy or abroad. Among them:

  • curricular internship permits both to gain credits that will be counted towards degree and to create the first contact with the labour market. It is addressed to students who wish to spend a six-month (maximum) training vocational period for credits or work thesis. For further information, please visit;
  • orientation internship enables students to carry out a work experience at the same time or completion of their studies. It is on voluntary basis and is addressed to final-year students and young graduates (within 12 months after achieving the academic qualification). The length of the training period is 6 months at most. For further information, please visit
